I was shy as a kid too. Now people think I'm too in-your-face. Go figure!

If you have confidence in yourself, you have to project that onto others. It's the only way forward, trust me!

The poem was well written, and you kept it short, which is a good thing because it shows that confidence in yourself is genuine and you're not wallowing in self pity like so many authors of a similar topic. Nice one.
