by Spoken Silence   Aug 22, 2008

** A Ottava Rima is a poem written in 8-line octives. Each line is of a 10 or 11 syllable count in
the following rhyme: three octive poem. abababcc, dededeff, ghghghii **

Sitting in blank spaces in my own room.
Dreaming of salvation that lingers on.
Drowning in my own self pity and gloom.
Just waiting to see that sight of the dawn.
What can there be for me to kill this time.
Killing is crime,Is killing time a crime?

Walk on the streets of my city alone.
Running before time catches up to me.
Boredom and solitude is all thats shown.
All I want is to set out and be free.
Need to kill time is what we humans do.
But not all of us can, only a few.

To kill time listen to what I will say.
Hear every word as if it were your own.
Don't sit in your room to linger or play.
Go and get out, don't sit and cry or moan.
This is how you are going to kill time.
Its not murder, its human not a crime.
