Stupid Game

by TorturedTourniquet   Aug 22, 2008

Why do we fool ourselves, even as we speak?
What do we gain by not acting?
I keep the one that I think I love,
And yet, I can't stop reacting.
To everything you do to this day.
It's such a stupid game.
We act as though there's nothing left,
But I know you feel the same.
That desire burning when we're close.
The need to touch your face.
The wish to hold you once again.
Desiring your warm embrace.
That's not to say I love you.
I don't think it's love I feel.
I want and lust to feel your warmth.
To know what can't be real.

Indeedly do, Lizzie-Bean.... If only we were unhonest cheaters for just a day, then it'd be over and done with.
