Walking in flames

by Samantha   Aug 22, 2008

Walking in flames.

Exiled from existence,

I wander here lifeless, listless.

Between sunset and sunrise,

These memories stay the same.

this hate burns deep,

And these tears fill my eyes.

Words are nothing but empty reflections.

My heart will always beat a hallow melody,

My hands will always reach for something.

Far beyond the horizons,

Farther than you can even imagine.

I cant find a home among the broken.

I scream until my lungs collapse,

Re tracing the patterns that my footprints have left behind,

All i find is another mountain, another pain.

Time and time again i have closed my eyes to these horrors,

Fallen, risen, and fallen.

I am not as strong as the phoenix.

When i have fallen to ashes,

Ashes i will remain.

But i am still walking in flames.

I have not given in yet.

My flesh may not be in tact,

but my will is not diminished.

Tomorrow brings hope.

Today is just another reason to carry on.

I will remain this walking flame

forever in pursuit of you.

Forever my broken heart,

and all it's pieces belong to you.
