Disappearing angel

by Amber   Aug 22, 2008

Waking up, I noticed I am tied down to the ground.
Struggling to remember what happened I looked around.
I was in a tiny room that was lit dimly by a candle.
I heard a noise. I noticed it was the turning of the door handle.

I saw a mysterious male figure walk into the door.
The room started to heat up, making my body sore.
I wanted to cry in agony, but my voice had disappeared.
I tried to get loose, but it was no use, just like I had feared.

He had me right where he wanted me to be.
A smile crept across his dark face. A smile of glee.
Did he find it amusing that I am trying to escape?
He walked into the light and my mouth became agape.

It was the face of the devil. I was in the room of hell.
Panic over flew my body, I felt like I was trapped in a cell.
I needed to calm myself down before the panic got me.
I closed my eyes and remembered what was special about me.

I reopened them and happiness crawled across my face.
I thought deep and hard and removed the shoulder brace.
I released my sparkling white wings from my back.
When he saw them hit the floor, he responded with a smack.

I tried to flap my wings to free myself from where I was bound.
But to my surprise it had failed. All my hopes had drowned.
My wings were disappearing right before my very own eyes.
I was not an angel anymore, I was victim to his surprises.

No more point in trying to free myself anymore.
No more point in trying to fight against him in the war.
No more angel me. No more reason to try and pretend:
Disappearing angel, noone cares or love me, so I wait for it to end.

So strong... so sad... and deep!

best poem i've read in a while!!!!

    one thing though,

    spelling error:

I tried to flap my wings to free myself from where I was bound.
But to my surprise it had failed. All my hopes had drowned.
My wings were disappearing right be for my very own eyes.
I was not an angel anymore, I was victim to his surprises.

the word " before" you spelled it "be for"

    5/5!
