It's All About You

A poem is so insufficient for all the feelings I feel
I tell him that I love him, I tell him its for real
but to me it seems like it doesn't matter to him
I fight for it but I don't think I can win

the things he does pisses me off so much
but he sends shivers through me with every touch
I don't want to keep fighting this stupid war
with my heart on the line, I cant take it anymore

I broke up with this man, and he cried
those tears made me feel so empty inside
I think that I have done the right thing
but my unshed tears really do sting

I don't have any idea what to do
but it hurts me to see him so blue
even though the things he has done hurt
I'm not sure that what this separation is worth

I truly love him, really I do
now I'm left feeling empty and blue
I've been hurt so much before
I just don't want to be hurt anymore
