New World

I cannot understand anything
Why must we fight?
Why must we kill?
Why must the world be destroyed,
For the sake of several million

This Earth,
This planet is not made up of millions
But billions of people
And to have senseless violence
Towards all these innocent people

Is just turning this world into a worse place
No matter where you can go
There shall be violence
There will be despair about
But, can we just stop and breathe?

To just let the air clear,
And allow our planet to heal again
To be one in harmony
To act as a unified planet
So we can fight for the just causes

To save the children from dying of curable diseases in Africa,
Supplying clean water to rural villages around the world,
Helping fight the AIDS epidemic
This is the beginning of the fight,
The fight for harmony, of hope, of peace
