Looking Back

Looking back at those days
At the times I used to be happy with me
But since I've got no self-esteem left
This is who I've come to be.

No one seems to care anymore
It's as if I'm not there
Why does life hate me so much
It just isn't fair.

I'm starting to find
It's getting harder to breathe
So I'm thinking
Maybe I should just leave.

It sounds like a good idea
The best I've ever had
Because when I finally do
I know they won't even be sad.

I need to get away from here
Somewhere far away
Somewhere happy
So I can finally see a brighter day.
