I love you

by Elissia   Aug 23, 2008

There are so many things I can't explain,
The word etched in my heart that is your name,
The scars never go the wounds never heal,
Your kiss on my lips like a letters seal,
I'd give my life to have my love returned,
But when you look at her I start to burn,
So now I love hate and now I hate love,
I always thought you were sent from above.

I thought you'd grow to love me but I'm wrong,
But now I know that your love was a con,
The glowing sun shines no more in my life,
Someday I'd love to be your wife,
But other girls can't help themselves with you,
I understand you don't know what to do,
Follow your heart and hope it leads to me,
I can't bear to look at the lonely sea.

A lovers cry is such a quiet sound,
But mine grows louder when you're not around,
The wind on my face your touch on my skin,
When someone repents you it's like a sin,
People come people go but not my love,
It stays in my heart like a captured dove,
Screaming for freedom but no one is here,
To answer its call, not far but not near.

Ash is blacker, my soul getting darker,
The sea separate with a dark marker,
The birds do not sing, the wind does not blow,
There is just one thing I am sure to know,
In the distance where the mist is lighter,
Dawns a new life for me as a fighter,
Without you my lover or so it seems,
Because you will always be in my dreams.
