Fallen Again

by Once an Angel   Aug 24, 2008

Horrors breathing in the night,
nightmares shuttering to life.
Voices echoing endless spit
In the chasms of my mind

Pouring poisonous insults,
flooding out my self-esteem.
Shredding up my sanity,
while washing away my dreams.

Memories soaking in pain,
and dripping crimson regret.
crying out forgotten tears,
veinly running from myself.

As night's curtain slowly falls.
The mania is unmasked,
Cloaked inside depression's power,
And embedded in a cure.

High instead it's release,
Only to find no escape.
Cradled in it's deceitful arms,
until I see, I've fallen again.

Ahh hun, beautiful poem. I say beautiful cause it's so hard to describe the pain, the darkness as well as you have. But like danika, i just wish there was something i could do. I've missed you.

I'm a fan of dark poetry so when I seen this piece it really caught my attention. Although this poem was of a dark nature I loved the twist of decieteful love that you through into the mix. For some reason I'm not the biggest fan of poetry which rhymes anymore, but I like the fact that you used it in different places throughout this piece, I like how it wasn't a constent rhyme is just flowed and wasn't forced, so it showed up really good.
You used some nice words throughout this poem to create a chilling effect, I really liked the feeling you portrayed over the atmosphere. Dark, Intense and intriguing with a splash of pain thrown in amongst it all. Effective.

The only thing I didn't like in this piece was the "nights" things but i'm sure you don't like them either.

Overall this was a great piece, glad I read it.
