The Coma, A Lullaby. Crashing Keys and Cold September

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Aug 24, 2008

Just because you can't forget
Doesn't mean you will remember
As we drift into the coma
That they call September

I know you'll always be here
Doesn't make me less alone
As I drift into the coma
I'm drifting on my own

The piano in the background
A silhouette of a lullaby
Fall for the same black magic
That rain falls for from the sky

Once again I feel alone
Dark September coming around
Silent rustle through the leaves
Crashing rain drops on the ground

And the piano in the distance
The cold strung music plays
Crash down each notes with perfection
Perfect crashing has this grace

Screaming out the lyrics
To this sad lullaby
Lull me into comatose
Hammers and strings say goodbye

On this rainy day
My summer gave in
The crash on the keys
Into my coma again

The melody is broken
Corrupt and out of tune
The lullaby whispers goodbye
I guess I'll see you soon

As we drift into the coma
That we call September

    *hugs*
This is great...relatbale, which made it...hard to read. I don't want to cry but I'm really close to it with this poem. September's so close to December...

Jesse, I know you feel alone...but you never are...I promise.
