My heart says to hang on tight
my mind says to let you go
after all you've given up on me
its her that you want to see,
where did i go wrong
when did she come back
to change the way you felt
all my plans with you are gone,
i stand by and watch you
i see you smile and my heart melts
and deep inside my heart aches
because shes the one you think about,
you've hurt me in so many ways
you i continue to love you still
slowly i am dieing here
there's nothing left for me to say,
Ive done all i can
to make you understand
i know were meant to be
the were meaning you and me,
she said shed be your friend
until she could trust you more
but no friends ain't enough
you've got to push it on,
baby for once just listen to me
your fighting for something
thats not really meant to be
she wants him and i want you,

they all say its you and me,
i wish that i could change the way you feel

but then id be lien
because forever isn't long enough

all your feelings for me were fake
just a repeat of yours and hers bad fate
the big difference is
i knew the real you and she never did,
the feelings you have for her
i too can relate
its hard to see the one you love
loving someone else,
you say shes your true love
well baby don't you see
if you and her were meant to be
it never would have been me,
honestly as i think about it
i am your true love
and i would never say no
i want to spend my life with you,
they say if you love someone
set them free
well your free to go
and how its killing me,
i cant help but cry now
cause i think there's no chance left for me
but when you want something bad enough
you'll never give it up,
so as you fight for her
i sit here and fight for you
i cant get over it
your my everything and more,
when you say something about her
oh how jealous and hurt i get
you tell me to stop and forget it
but i cant and i never will,
you had your chance with her
and y'all both were hurt
she loved "Matt"
and i love Lindsey,
my god shes miles away loving god knows who
while I'm minutes away only loving you
if she wanted to be in love with you
this trust thing wouldn't matter,
you told her you'd be honest with her
just like you said to me
so if she really loved you
shed get over it just like i did,
the tears just wont stop falling for you
your tears you say you had for me have long dried
never to fall again
well mine will never dry until were together again,
i don't see how your holding on
to something that let you go
shes got her man
and we are left alone,
but together we can change that
you know that shes not yours
and that your chance is very small
so please come back to me someone who's really in love with thee,
even if you were to get her back
all you would have is phone calls and emails
no cuddling hugging kissing etc..
all the stuff you've got with me,
all the stuff you say you miss so much
things would be different if she were here
but shes not so please just give it up
and come back to me,
i promise its just something your going through
it happens to a lot of people
you'll soon realize its not meant to be
and when you do ill be here for you,
so as i end this poem
