Lesthat

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Aug 24, 2008

I lost a friend the other day
because a drunk driver went his way.
The instant impact made him dead...
No amount of words can be said

to describe this strange feeling,
for a friend's death it's my first dealing.
Nothing like this has happened before
and I won't hear from you anymore.

The moment I read you died
I opened my teary eyes wide.
The tears ran down my mourning face
and left a mark I can't erase.

You were so young and so much to give.
But only 18 years to live?
This isn't right, this can't be.
My open eyes refuse to see.

Such beauty and kindness, an early end.
That freaking driver killed my friend.
Behind the wheel the drunk sat
when he took away Lesthat.

RIP
Lesthat
Aug. 22nd 08

He was 18, with a two year old son. A suicidal girlfriend whom he always protected from not only others, but herself. Even when they were separated he always came to the rescue, always.

He was a hero. He cared so much, he was such a sweetheart with a positive attitude and a warm hug to cheer you up. He had the face of a model and the spirit of a hero. He was simply Lesthat to our eyes, but there was so much more that made up that great individual. So much more.

I'll always miss you my friend.
