Kiss of mercy

by Helene   Aug 24, 2008

It was a cold and rainy night,
I was soaked beneath my skin,
I was frozen to the bone,
From the harsh, consuming wind.
I was tired and alone,
When you pulled me down beside you,
And you gave the kiss of mercy,
that would come to be my rescue.

Then you climbed your arms around me,
Held me tight and held me strong,
I could hear your sweet voice whisper,
That you've loved me all along.
I was no one till I met you,
Just a weary, warn out mask,
Till you gave the kiss of mercy,
That erased me from my past.

We could walk the line together,
Hand in hand against the world,
Even in such dreary weather,
In your arms so softly curled.
We could build a better planet,
and escape from all our pain,
You're the blessing kiss of mercy,
You're the cure to make me sane.

I have worn a thousand faces,
And the mirror always lied,
Never knew which face was really mine,
Till I found it by your side.
I was restless and uneasy,
Till you came along that day,
And you gave the kiss of mercy,
That would help me find my way.

And I thought you were talking abt me :(
hehe, very nice write.. very calm but also somehow melancolic.. or maybe it's just me.
