Thoughts of me

If friends is all you want to be
the friends is what we shall be
but one night laying in your bed
thoughts of me will fill your head
you'll toss and turn throughout the night
wishing you could hold me tight
my words will echo through the air
and remind you of what used to be there
while you lay there thinking
ill be somewhere else sleeping
because you said goodbye to me
gave my heart back its key

i know cause Ive experienced it enough
your gonna hate it so much
your even gonna miss my touch
i told you that together we could at least try
but for the hundredth time you just made me cry
so while your laying there wide awake
you'll realize you have made a mistake
maybe then you will see
just how bad you have hurt me
and just what i went through
to try and get back with you
but for now i know your gonna think this is right
up until you experience that long night
