To know you feel insecure
Makes me worry; what's wrong?
To know it's my doing is heart breaking.
Like a rejection that would prolong.

It's like we've lost all connection
And I can't even bear to look at you.
But I have nothing to defend myself against.
What did I do?

My intentions are pure
And I guess I'm caring
But to know it makes you feel uncomfortable
Is simply overbearing.

It's as if we're not friends
And a hug a harmful touch
Knowing and feeling this
Is all too much.

Do I intimidate you?
Do you feel like a prey?
Do I scare you?
Then why didn't you say?

Instead of having someone else
Deliver such news
Because I feel like a predator
And you a victim of abuse.
