Anathema

by rhend   Aug 26, 2008

Bound in bitter chains beneath abyss
as far below the earth as over earth
sorrow-fenced surrounds at him
punishment for all of his depraved.

his wings are broken;wounded so bad
lamentation are his words as time passed by
his confinement was all in darkness domain
no shed of light could be found for even to coruscate.

his kingdom stood on gruesome strength
throes and agony reside in that place
excruciating for those who found condemn
unruly souls are chasten there.

demons swarm closely unto his feet
snarl so deafening,so loud in pain
upon his eyes flashed with glaring fire
those creatures obey on what he commands.

in the day of wrath and the day of anguish
anathema once again wage war upon heaven
along with the wicked, the fools and deceived
prophesied fate distressing the end.

There is just something that attracts me to this work, though, at times, it seems a bit off here and there...but, the poet uses deftly the contents in a manner that makes it "real", making fine use of a poet-poem-receiver organic delivery!
