This is why

by Ontherunsearching   Aug 26, 2008

Your smile provided in my needs and I could breathe since a long time
The ability of your eyes to make me feel so small
Breaking down my defense with the speed of light
I couldn't resist, had to surrender all of my being to you

How can I find myself again?
Who I was is stuck in memories of past time
I'm in the land of maybe and could be
Where there's no place for reality

Tried to create distance like I did for so long
Doesn't work no more in this time of your appearance
Your features are destroying me
Only your touch can bring me back to life

You bring out the best in me
After that you crush it with one silence
Don't know if this is your intention
If your consciousness is aware

Can't tell you this, you know that
So I'll keep it to myself
Safer that way
Although it doesn't increase my pain

I want to own all of you
Instead there's only a memory I hold
I'd rather sell myself out
Then confide in you

Impossible so it seems, you and me
But tell me honestly, is this true?
Look inside yourself
And bring me the truth as it will reveal itself

And don't try to question it
As an honest heart can't be blamed
