Questions

While the days are passing by the clock keeps on ticking too
Most people are fine with their lives living them; it's a way to pull through
But a battery runs out every now and then and the clock will stop
Reminding people again of what should be done when tears starts to drop

I don't understand their state of mind, I've seen it coming for a long time, tell me then
Why are all these stupid people wandering around, asking what happened and when?
Patterns are long gone; customs no longer usable and all morals went low years ago
Nothing really seems to matter; it's all relative, only now it's starting to show

I wonder if we should applaud out loud and praise the superficial
For there's a lesson to be learned, there is, although it's unofficial
I wonder if we should yearn for their stupidity and ignorance
That spreads and finds its existence through the level of tolerance

In this world a child was born wrong, and I asked myself how it could be
When I look in the glass, I look in the eyes, I look again, I see me
You are there too, I love you so much, but on the end of the line
I saw you for what you are, not who you were when you were mine

I can see you standing on the corner of all that takes place, standing alone
Long after closing time, too late, because you threw the first stone
Preaching life's revelations, which, after numerous mistakes, you have taught
Trying to make up for it, yet not one soul overheard your thought

I wonder what was real, if there was something that you really meant
I don't know, they say hearts can't be broken, they only tend to bend
But it hurts like hell, the only thing I know is that forever you will lose
Because one day you see all that you've caused, you're left with all that you didn't choose
