Caught in a lie

Why don't you feel like everyone has left you
Hurt as if you found out that everything you believed in is not true
Can't sleep because you can't stop crying
As I did when I discovered that you weren't even trying

Why don't you blame yourself for all that goes wrong
Ask yourself how it is possible to still hold on
Feel like the devil himself lit you on fire
As I did when I saw you for what you are: just a liar

Why don't you cut yourself open to see if you bleed
Bath yourself in grief without wondering where it will lead
Despise everything you are and stand for
As I did when you walked out of the door

Why don't you see your life for what it is; one big lie
Hate yourself so much that you wish that you could die
Doubted everything you say, not knowing if something was true
As I did when I realized that I was stupid enough to believe you

    Such a strong write keep it up. i really liked the the lines

    i'm not sure why but those lines were very strong to me. over all i liked your whole poem it was extreamly good. 5/5
