Welcoming Highschool

by Steady Stereotype   Aug 26, 2008

Through the tall doors,
Strolls a girl nothing more,
Finally a new start,
Quick beating of a heart.

Already feeling out of place,
Class to class the constant race;
Hold snide remarks, a chuckle or two,
To no one I dare tell I hate you.

Heart dashed with fears;
Face covered in tears;
Standing by the locker alone.
Here comes the mess,
My consistent pest,
Oh please just hang up the phone.

Classes I hate,
Made enemies a new,
It's just far too late,
To stop my mouth before it blew.

Oh welcome to high school,
Don't try to be cool,
Stay calm no one knows,
Let no one too close.

Make it through a few more years,
Stand up and dry your tears,
Stand tall and so proud,
As you've never been allowed;
Oh welcome to high school my dears.

-----
Author's Note// Well I haven't entered anything in a long time. I lacked inspiration; so I guess school really does do things to me. This is obviously about highschool and my huge fear of going there in just a few days. It starts of kind of queer but I hope it got better after that. Thanks for reading.

    I enjoyed it. :) It's not me, though... I never felt that way in high school, yeah I was intimidated but I tried new stuff... this reminds me of some other friends I had. Greatly portrayed. 5/5
