Between Two Worlds

by NightFlyer   Aug 26, 2008

Paralyzed in the dominion of morn
Silver star gleaming through the dew
Pale clouds spread across the dawn
Silently I fly in depths of blue.

Staggering past shadows in this dark place
Smitten in the pathways of dreams
Roused from sleep, I stagger and pace
Plodding though mists as bright Luna gleams.

Between two worlds, I drown in azure
To Orphic depths my spirit glides
Conquered at last by sleep's potent lure
I gently drift on her ocean tides.

Thank you for your kind words, Melissa and Mkrish. Glad you liked my poem. My favorite time to write poetry is in the early hours of the morning, just after waking up. I find my mind is more aware of subliminal/cosmic feelings abd thoughts then.

This is just beautiful. I can think of nothing negative to say about this piece, it's perfect as is. I adore the flow (nice rhymes) and the ambiguousness of it all, it's simply breathtaking. And now I'm a wee bit sleepy. ;o)
