Static Discomfort

by Indian Comma Bean   Aug 27, 2008

Shuttering eyes leave absence
To the shadows of a distant sun.
Blinded! Yet aware of that ahead,
Seething with the ignorance of life.

My mind in constant torment
With the raging fire of memory; Cursed...
By unforgiving eyes, laden with grief,
As their tears are mine in another time.

Lights flicker as hands clench,
Mind trembling to the suffering of thought,
Uncontrolled and loose; Burning evidence
Of any bliss or happiness left to comfort...
