Another chapter unfolds

by damaged rose   Aug 27, 2008

An angel was sent from god above
He guards people, never let them frown
He cares and shares who ever is in pain
And even put a smile on their face

He met the rose, tainted by pain
Her petals torn from the stem
Her petals bruised and yet broken
But like a rose love has thorns

He promised something of greater
To be a guardian angel and her lover
Her fragile heart is often hard to bear
The skin of those who don't handle it with care

Something went wrong and things became complex
Unaware of what will come next
Something hidden, this will never be told
There's a secret, it won't unfold

He broke her down to worthless
By those wretched words he spoke
He clouded the air with poison
He caused her little lungs to choke

The thorns scratch and pierce the skin
It thorns so deadly she scars for life
Forever will she be damaged rose
Left heartless archangel's heart in pain and untold

From strangers we became friends. From friends we became best of friends. From best of friends we turned into a lover. We ended the relationship and became strangers. Can we start our friendship all over again? Yes we can and this is what I am doing. Forgive and forget.

End of chapter.
