Postcard of the Hanging

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Aug 27, 2008

You asked me how I'm doing
But before I even spoke
I exploded out in laughter
You said it's not a joke

You ask me how I'm doing
I didn't need you to repeat the question
I'm writing down your answer
With stanzas on this napkin

You said I need some happiness
Like silver swans in moonlight landing
No, I need a vacation
And a postcard of the hanging

If you so badly need a vacation from us...take one.
