Gain

by Prince Jared   Aug 28, 2008

Slicing and cutting
Through a thick, heavy mist
Of swirling emotions as
Blood flows freely from my wrists

Promise, please promise
That you will not tell
Keep my old secret
About my slow burning hell

It's really about nothing
At least that's what I say
But this is really something
Because inside I die every day

Some people point their fingers
And say I'm just selfish and proud
If they only knew what I feel
That my solid ground is a cloud

Tonight, as I cut for the last time
It's time to end all of my pain
I wonder as my eyes close to the light
Oh will there be any gain?

    Very sad, and very deep.....
and of course, very well written......
