Very good poem. It told a story with a meaning.
It is so true. How we make decisions sometimes because we think people are trying to control us. When they are trying to be very helpful. When we don't take heed to some of their advice, we usually will make a lot of mistakes. Hopefully we will learn from them before it is to late. The poem shows that we can change our life for the better .

A very good astute poem. I will share it with my 18 year old grandson who is rather like the character in your poem. He can't see he's ever responsible for what happens to him as a result of his own choices. still hoping and praying he will choose God's way.
