The surrounding world seems to be an expert dancer,
It spins and twirls around me, blurring my vision.
For the questions Why or How, I have no answer,
But Who I can say with great precision.
Though the landscape laughs at my befuddlement,
My feet remain planted firmly to the ground.
With no idea where permanence went,
I know it is only you that I have found.
You have offered a supporting arm,
With a warm smile and tender eyes.
Even when unknowingly faced with harm,
I have but to turn around to find you nearby.
I won't ever let go of your hand,
No matter how hard the world wants to spin.
They can sneer and make demands,
But this love simply wants to win.
*This is not the first poem I wrote. I have a binder full of poems, and I decided to put them on this site (in no particular order). So you might see a bunch of poems posted here in one day, but I did not write them all in the same day. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
