When you're just not in the mood to write,
Just how well can you do it?
Can to extract the will to exact
and force the emotions required?
For me it depends not on mood or on thought,
But on whether inspiration visits or not--
So even when I'm tired and my brain's almost shot,
if my heart's still intact, if it's all that I've got,
I can put it on paper and see what I've wrought.
Maybe it won't be a masterpiece,
But if you never try, you'll never find out
What might have, could have, should have been
and what you'd perhaps have created.
So if you feel bored with nothing to do
don't hesitate simply to pick up the pen
and put a little of yourself on paper
(After all, it's not like it's gotta be "good")
