Daddy's little girl!

by silent turbulence   Aug 30, 2008

Tiny little feet,
An angelic face,
From the time she was born,
She has personified grace.

Pretty pink dresses,
beautiful innocent eyes,
satin ribboned piggy tails,
even then she was wise.

Living in doll houses,
magic wands and fairies she thought were true,
The prince charming, the knight in shining armour,
One day she'd find hers too.

From cinderella to mills and boons,
Daddy's little girl was growing old,
turning into a beautiful woman,
waiting eagerly for what life had to unfold.

Pretty pink dresses were soon forgotten,
and so were magic wands,
prince charming turned out to be the charming rascal,
she wished she was warned.

As time kept passing by,
She kept on getting strong,
life she knew was not a fairy tale,
what they said was all wrong.

Soon she found a man,
she knew she could love,
One so gentle and kind,
Like a blessing sent from up above.

A mother she was soon to be,
give birth to a life,
a new phase was to begin for her,
after being the daughter, the sister and the wife.

All through the years,
she has spread smiles everywhere,
embraced all the sorrows,
radiating only love are care.

They say Eve was created from Adams rib,
Yet only a woman can bring life into this world,
Who till yesterday still was,
Daddy's innocent little girl!
