Still Yours

I keep going back to that sad day in September
When you walked out and took my heart along.
You left me here to sort my feelings out alone
Wondering where to go because this was no longer my home.

Although I did my best, you gave her the best of you,
I gave you all there was to give, there was nothing left to do.
I was here broken hearted and bruised
And always held on to"I love you", but suddenly I was so confused.

You welcomed her into the home that once was where our family spent every waking hour
And she was invited into the bed that was ours.
It was almost impossible to overcome the feelings I felt
Because once upon a time you made my heart melt.

But my fairy tale has ended and my heart is now scarred
My soul now torn
My life turned upside down
But for some reason I'm still yours.
