I remember as a little girl
My dad was such a significant part of the world
He was there through all the tears and frowns
And there to pick me up when i was down.
We loved watching "Legends of the Fall"
And dancing to "Butterfly Kisses" which was our song.
I remember when he used to sneak me cookies when mom said no
Until mom found out and said no more.

My father's life came to an end
And I no longer have a best friend.
These boys decided his fate
October 30th, 2007 was the date.

Wow.. so sincere, that is so sad. i cant imagine losing my father. i am sorry for your lose, and it was so recent. i hope every single person pays for that, and their family has to fee, and go through what your family has.l

Oh my gosh gal, this brought tears to my eyes. This was so so tragic. I don't know how someone can actually find it in themselves to take the life of a living human being. I remember when the gang broke into my dads house and attacked him so brutally, we all thought that my dad was going to die, we have strong suspicions that his girlfriend planned it but i guess I'll never know, I am so sorry for your loss, i know how painful it must be for you, after my dad was attacked he never went back to who he use 2 be, he has got permanent brain damage and its as if the father he use 2 be is dead. But you are a beautiful and strong person who is going 2 go really far and make your father proud!!!!! Never forget that he is now your guardian angel and is up in heaven watching down on you and will always be alive in your heart as long as you allow him 2 be!!! this poem was just such a powerful and strong piece, you have got so much talent!!!! Its not our circumstances that make us who we are but our spirits and you have got a truly beautiful soul!!!! You are such an inspiration to me!!!!
