Connected

by Beowulf   Jun 5, 2004

I sit here, alone
Linking together tiny rings of steel
Forming a beautiful and complex pattern
Used for protection in the days of old
Why?
Because rings of steel don't give their heart
And take it back
Rings of steel don't say "I love you"
And decide later that they didn't mean it
Rings of steel don't pick out baby names
And then choose to make different plans
Rings of steel don't tell you that you're the one they care for
And yet want to have fun and see others
No
Rings of steel stay connected

really man, that was crazy. i know i say nice things about all your poems but i can't help it, they are especially meaningful to me because i know a little about the inspiration. i hope that my rude email was not sent to you during the time you felt this.
