No Perfect Life

by Alicia   Jun 5, 2004

A boy of 14 in New York City
Lives with his family in no harmony.
With his giant brown eyes
And radiant face, he holds his head high
He sets his own pace.
Once he's at school
He keeps it cool
Occasionally, hes treated cruel
His friends try to ask him
When they know somethings wrong,
Instead he just rather be left alone.
An abusive mom, abusive dad
Thats what he gets from the family he had.
Yet, far away - hidden beneath
There's a mind of its own afraid to speak.
The pain is fought, memories pushed aside
Day after day remains the same
Testing his patients like they're just a game
Nothings left to do, nothings left to say
With no help it'll happen again just another day
