This poem is a bit shaky at times, like a stream flowing over exposed rocks, at the embrace it holds me in is disrupted to the point I have to refocus/dive back in to its flowing feel (ie last lines of stanzas 2 & 3). Yet, this overall piece is far better than a mere "4" becuase, in part, the poet has a seemingly natural knack to present the poem in a way that makes its receiver feel like the creator is "real" and talking to a friend! She has taken a now common expressed theme/content and put it on at least two levels - personal and universal. This is a finely executed poetic statement and should be experienced by others! |
