Gas chamber

by resisting reason   Sep 4, 2008

"We'll go together
Holding hands
Lets do it now
This is our last chance

I'm right here with you
You must be brave
So don't let go
And don't be afraid

We're almost there
See, we're not alone
After this
We'll go home

But when we get in
You must remember to breathe
Long and slow
Take it in deep

Now its our turn
We'll go together
Hold my hand
Hold it forever"

And the heavy metal doors
Slam shut and echo
That mother and child
Never did let go

Even when the air
Became thick and green
She held on to him
And listened to his scream

And when they went in
To clear the floor
They dragged them apart
And brought in more
