Stepping back

Stepping back into the sun, where my life once begun.
Before my life changed its path, before my world grew cold.
Feeling the warmth embrace my skin, feel I wanna let love back in.

With open eyes I see the night turning into day.
The darkness wrapped around my soul, starts to slip away.
light has found a way back in, and I willingly submit.

This moment of peace, is new to me, I suddenly feel unease.
This is not where i want to be, light gives no shelter for me.
In the dark, no one can see.. no one will ask, they just let me be.

I'm stepping back out off the sun. I need the dark to cover me.
hold me close and comfort me.. just let me hide inside.
