DEAD

by Madison   Jun 5, 2004

As she sit in her room
Everything thrown on the floor
Candles lit, a locked door

A journal in her lap
A knife right beside
As she write the words
“Today I will die”

She turns to the paper,
And tears it out
Like her boyfriend once did
Instead it was her heart

“To my family, that never even cared,
To all my friends, that never was there
To my boyfriend, may he burn in hell
This is my story I'm about to tell”

“Many see me as a girl with no flaws,
Always perfect, never breaking laws
Star cheerleader on the team
Was always the homecoming queen”

“But what happened one night turned it all around
When getting raped by your boyfriend,
And lying on the cold wet ground.
He told me he loved me,
I thought that was true
I learned to never trust anyone
For I would never know what they could do”

She signed the note, and pulled up the knife
The blew out the candles and took away her life
It wasn't till later that night
That her parents broke down the door
To find they little girl,
Lying on the floor

Wow... very heart-breaking. I agree with vampirechick88, that it warns you to not trust everyone, but it also speaks from another perspective too. We should all be careful to always show our friends/family that we care and are there for them.
