Born an American, Love as a Homosexual, Live like a Sinner?

by TwistedDancingCorpse   Sep 4, 2008

If we are born as an American
and have equal rights
then why is it that when
we decide to tell the truth
everything is taken away
and we become "sinners"

What is love when you can't love the same?
What is Equal Rights to America
when it outcast its citizens for love?
What does it mean to be "Holy"
when everyday life is filled with sin?
Who are we to say what is right or wrong?
Who knows what "God" really said,
or what he really wanted?
A world where his "children" are happy,
or a world where they are fighting to be equal?

"Marriage is a human right, not a heterosexual privilege"

Why is a man and a woman accepted when kissing in public
but two men or two girls holding hands is not?
Which would you rather see:
Two men holding guns, or two men holding hands?

Gay Rights means, Equal rights as an American
not special privileges as a homosexual

Homosexual men and women do not influence
young children, they show courage to be who you are,
not to be afraid of life and lie to the world and yourself

Is love really a sin?
A man and woman love
so they sin as well, or
is the fact that people
think its "not right"
for a man to love another man
and say that they are "sinners"

If two people love each other enough to commit themselves
to one another for life then they should be able to marry,
if who they are with makes them happy, then,
isn't that what we should care about?

Amen. Although this reads more like the outline for an essay than a poem. Hang in there.
