The Land of the Evening Star

by NightFlyer   Sep 5, 2008

Sing me a song of silver streams
And trees outlined with snow
Walk on a path of nocturnal dreams
Take my hand now, let's go.

I'll lead you down where the night bird sings
Past midnight mountains far
Feeling now what eternity brings
In the Land of the Evening Star.

Listen to the lonely breeze
As it swirls past our valley high
Let us rest neath verdant trees
As crimson clouds drift by.

Distance echoed in starlit depths
As we gaze into the jasmine sky
While a magic song drifts from the West
For two poets, you and I.
