One thing has remained the same
Thoughts of reality become manifestations
I see them and feel them
It is unsatisfying to feel it alone
To complicate them
As I once complicated the reality she gave me
She does not see what I do behind my own closed door
I want to try it simply
Simply I will speak
As irrelevant as it seems
I will all but deny the fact
That I simply desire my dreams
Once more I aspire to have reality
To no longer be apart
It's the caress of her cheek
The touch of her hand
The hold of her heart
Searching myself for the remainders
Time stands still
I hold the same clock in my hand
She knows I always will
But see I took it off the wall
The batteries no longer alive
Empty
The only hope it has to function again are those two special life-givers
And until that day, the clock sits next to me
Dead and waiting
For the day she opens her arms to me
Coming back to give life
To what once was the greatest time-teller on Earth
