Trying to forget

I’m trying to forget
But I still feel awful
I know I shouldn’t
She’s the one who did wrong

But how long will it take
Until I really forget
What she did to us
It was so bad

I almost wish that she hadn’t
Done what she did
But now we know
That she is dishonest

And who wants to be friends
With a dishonest person
When you can’t trust them
With anything

So I’ll try to forget
But it won’t happen in a hurry
It will take time
It always does
