When to let go..

by zariieee   Sep 7, 2008

And yesterday didn't it seem clearer,
Guaranteed that answers were what i had.
Today it is the last thing I am sure of,
And it has me feeling so bad.

I KNOW that I love you,
I know what I always felt was true.
But today, right now, this moment,
I find myself questioning truth.

Looking into the past,
Times you'd make me laugh.
The times I thought was what I lived for,
Now only seems to be a scene.
Scenes from someone else's past,
Happy times from another's memories.

My passionate fire, alone it burns,
Through the wind and the rain,
Through the pain in your words.
I can feel it dwindle,
But to the sound of your name,
The flame always flickers.

Will this be the death of us?
Do we know?
It pains me deeply to think of letting go.
But as my days toil away and all I do is think,
The truth is always there,
It's glare is the only that I fear.

Searching for answers I reach a dead end.
A sign up ahead, with the words marked in red.
I merge deeper into my thoughts to read the words,
The answer I've tried to ignore;
"For letting go is not what is not the hard part,
its leaving him behind."
