Appetite's Are For The Apathetic

by Tammie   Sep 7, 2008

Your eyes are always hungrier
Than anything you can stomach,
And you say it's never your fault
That it's so hard to keep you satisfied.

Before I even parted my lips,
You stole the air I needed away.
So I chocked on words unspoken,
While you watched as I began to cry.

It's never been about what I wanted, but
It doesn't matter as long as I say I'm fine,
You say honesty is most important to you,
And I say your ignorance is just another lie.

So I'll leave you to swallow your pride,
While I struggle to sip this burnt coffee,
'Cause I've lost my appetite knowing you just
Chew and spit out anything I ever meant to you.

I swear I've commented this already. Damnitt.

Okay so I really like this, it's full of hurt and .. anger? almost. It's great. Only some of the words I would change, but we're all still improving, right?
You are definatly improving, and how I wish you would WRITE MORE. Ha.

    Tammie,

this is so full of emotion, frustrated emotion. How can you keep hold of something that refuses to hold on. You communicate in such a delicate way that ironically screams to me. I feel that this is a difficult balance to attain, but you have done so admirably.

Say goodbye to the roving eye ;)

    Well done
