Well, this is just so sweet!
I am glad for you that your son lived through it all.
The worst pain in the world is the pain you feel when your child is suffering and you cannot help him. It must have been awfull for you and your wife when you found out about the intestines....I read that 90% survive when they are born this way. I am glad you son is one of them:)
May he have a long and beautiful life.

    Take care,

    5/5 Ingrid
ps: Peanut is a beauty, I have seen her pics:))

What a loving tribute to your little boy. Children are the greatest joy in our lives. I know he will continue to bring you endless love. This is a very heart touching poem. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
    Take care

Aw. This poem is absolutely wonderful. It nearly brought me to tears, though I held back because I just did my makeup for school. Haha. =]

Really, though. This is so heartfelt, and beautifully written. I always enjoy reading things parents write for/about their children because the love that comes through their words always amazes me.

I can only hope that one day, if you haven't already, you will show this to your son. I'm positive he will love it.

    Wonderful job.

Aww. I know what it's like to keep constant watch over a preemie and not know how they'll be from day to day. My nephew was born on November 9, 2008, a month and a half before his due date. He doesn't have valves in his heart, and he's been diagnosed with Down's Syndrome. I've read this poem of yours before, but when I read it the first time, it didn't really affect me. Re-reading it again now, it almost made me cry. It was wonderful, and you could tell it came from the heart. Thanks for sharing. 5/5
