A stray

Everyday I cry at night
hoping that somehow this pain will subside
I've allowed myself to go weak
I've embraced my sorrow
trying so hard to mend
waiting for tomorrow
This wound is deep
But my blood has dried
looking for a drug to ease this ache of mine
I know it's wrong .. but who to blame?
Me..
I've lost my sense of shame
They've killed me
Ended my dream
abandoned me in this crazy stream
The sun has left my world
left me in the darkness to drift along
Close to home, I can't stay
Close to home, feeling so far away
Tell me why shall I go on
Give me a reason to survive
I am not giving up
No..
I am pleading your love
I need you to mend me
take my hand and heal me
I am in lack for all that's right
I am a stray, but not for a night
All I am asking for is my right
A right to laugh, love, & survive
Give it to me
And I shall be alive...

    I think you have done a really good job with this poem, the only thing I advice you to do is revise the grammar for I think you might a have a mistake or two. Other than that, it is a strong deep poem with a powerful meaning. Great job, keep it up.
