Hello Stranger

by Jessica   Sep 7, 2008

A stranger sits on my bed
entranced in a gloomy spell
dwelling in his lonely state
his own personal hell

Translucent limbs and pale light
emanates from within
an expression conveys nothing at all
when you've endured a wrath of sin

Repetitive daily rituals
for an apathetic dutiful soul
destined to a life of grief
to play his submissive role

Ghoul, specter, apparition
call him what you may
he's a stranger in my house
a stranger left to stay.

So descriptive yet so mysterious....i've never read a poem quiet like this one and i must say, I LOVE IT! thank you for the lovely comment on mine. Doesn't seem like to many people like my stuff anymore. it's feels good to see someone actually reading them.
    thanks

Oh wow. seriously, words fail me.
Its just so well written, I wanted to point out a certain paragraph for clarification or something, but i re-read it and every verse is as good as the last.
Wonderful, I must say, well done!
