The Beast

by Misunderstood Misery   Sep 8, 2008

The tears falling down my face
sets free the beast inside of me.
It shows my true colors
of darkness and vaunerability.
The Beast feeds on my pain and shame,
never slowing Its always-hungry feast.
This darkness inside is always growing,
slowly killing me from inside to out.
Will this pain ever cease?
Will the Beast always break me?
I'm looking for a way out.
I'm crying out for help,
but It silences me
and no one hears my screams of agony.
I live with these scars on my wrists
and these stitches on my lips.
Who will finally save me
from the Beast that is myself?
