A shattered glass heart,
Lay there on the wooden floor,
In millions of tiny glass pieces,
Someone didn't love it anymore,
It was given to someone,
To cherish and to hold,
But it was neglected,
And the love got old,
So the heart fell in love on its own,
But no one was there for it,
And it fell, and cracked in a dozen,
No more do the pieces fit,
Laying there gathering dust,
My heart is still there,
Just because no one loved me,
No one ever cared,
And as you can tell, that heart is mine,
Forever shattered, laying deep in my chest,
I loved, and my heart got broken,
And just the same old story, just like the rest.
