Falling

by Light A Way   Sep 8, 2008

Falling soundlessy into open space,
Sifting through it effortlessly,
Climbing out of a dream,
Stumbling for my grip

Balancing on my feet,
Nothing else to hold me down,
When your voice echoes through my ears,
I try to stand still

Shifting back and forth,
Gathering all my thoughts,
Stretching out my hand,
Wanting you to hold it

Feeling like I'm out of control,
I can't seem to get a hold of myself,
You make me want to scream,
I want you that bad

All my words are jumbled in my mind,
Trying to put them together to talk to you,
But as you inch closer to me,
Every word I have disappears

Gently you grab a hold of me,
It feels so good to have you touch me,
I start falling back into the open space,
And you follow right behind me

I love this poem, beautifully written. I especially like the first stanza and this was all so heartfelt. Keep writing, always and forever....
